Weather Forecasts Built for Motorcycle Riders

Wind gusts, sudden rain, and temperature drops are minor inconveniences in a car. On a bike, they're the difference between a great ride and a hospital visit. See conditions along your entire route — not just at your destination.

Why Weather Hits Riders Harder

You're exposed to every gust, every degree drop, every patch of slick pavement. Conditions that don't even register in a car can ruin a ride or end it.

Wind Gusts > 25 mph

Crosswinds can shove a 500-lb bike out of its line in milliseconds — especially on bridges, ridges, and open highway. Route Outlook shows max wind speed at points along your route, so you know whether the windy stretch is at mile 30 or mile 130.

Wet Roads & Rain Timing

The first rain after a dry stretch is the worst — oil and rubber rise to the surface, painted lines turn into ice. Knowing whether rain starts at 2 PM or 4 PM lets you decide whether to leave early or wait it out.

Temperature Drops on Long Rides

An afternoon ride into the evening on the same route can feel 25-30°F different. Hypothermia at highway speeds is real. Route Outlook shows temperature along your route at the time you'll be there, not just where you started.

Fog, Mist & Morning Dew

Cool mornings produce dew on bridges and shaded sections — basically black ice you can't see. Visibility under 1/4 mile is a non-starter on a motorcycle. We surface fog, mist, and freezing alerts along the route corridor.

Severe Weather Alerts Along Route

Severe thunderstorms with hail are a survival issue on a bike. We pull live NWS alerts and show any that intersect your route — not just at your home or destination.

When To Leave (or Wait)

“Leave at 9 AM and you'll be home before the storm. Leave at noon and you'll ride straight into it.” That's the kind of decision Route Outlook makes obvious.

How It Works

Three steps. No app to install. No signup for a one-off ride.

1

Enter your route

Origin and destination — that's it. Cities, towns, or airport codes (BOS, LAX) all work.

2

See conditions every step of the way

Wind, rain, temperature, and severe-weather alerts at each point along your route, timed to when you'll actually be there. Plus the 7-day window so you can pick the best day.

3

Save it for next time

Sign up for free email/SMS alerts on a saved route and we'll let you know when conditions on your regular ride get sketchy.

⚠️

Hail Alerts Are Especially Important on a Bike

Hail at highway speeds isn't just a paint job. We poll NWS warnings every 2 minutes and notify you when hail is forecast within range of a saved location — usually 15–30 minutes of lead time before the storm hits.
