Questions about the Toronto camera wall

How many Toronto traffic cameras can I watch at once?

Up to 48. Choose 12, 24 or 48 cameras; they are spread evenly across 9 highways so every part of Toronto is covered.

How often does the Toronto camera wall refresh?

Every minute, while the page is open and visible. Cameras marked LIVE play real-time video when you tap them.

Which highways are on the Toronto camera wall?

Highway 401 Milton to Highway 427, Highway 401 Highway 427 to Highway 404, Highway 401 Highway 404 to Ajax, QEW Oakville to Highway 427, Highway 400 Toronto to King, Highway 427 QEW to Vaughan, Highway 404 Toronto to York Region, Highway 403 Oakville to Mississauga and Highway 410 Mississauga to Brampton.

What do the green, amber and red highway colors mean?

Green means no incidents, only minor ones, or only work zones. Amber means a crash or other incident slowing traffic, or work closing a travel lane right now (planned roadwork outside its scheduled hours does not count). A ramp or shoulder closure, minor work, and months-long project notices are listed as work zones but leave the highway green. Red means a severe or critical incident, such as a crash blocking lanes, or a road closed in one direction (labeled Closed). Colors update every two minutes from transportation department incident feeds.
